Steve’s SCD Diet Healing Journal: Week 3 – Bring on the travel and fat loss!

Week 3 Summary: Following up from last week I successfully traveled home for the weekend (a 5 hour road trip). During the week I made extra large batches of meat, veggies and fruit. I put enough for four meals in some Tupper ware and packed them in a cooler using some ice packs. I was then able to eat eggs in the morning and have a standard lunch and dinner for both Saturday and Sunday.

The SCD Trial Period: Making the Diet a Habit… How Long Before It’s Easy?

What kind of a trial period does it take to be able to integrate the SCD diet into my lifestyle and have it be normal? The scientific research tells us that on average its going to take about 66 days to adapt to a new habit and SCD wisdom tells us that we should expect to have a slight relapse in our health somewhere around 60-90 days, then it is clear that 30 days is not going to be enough.
