3 Tips for Troubleshooting Your Diet (When It’s Not Working Anymore)

by Jordan Reasoner

One of the most common questions we get from people every day is about being “stuck” on their diet.

They’ve changed their diet to improve their stomach problems, and maybe they feel a little better, but they still don’t feel as good as they should.

Their emails typically go something like this:

“Hey Jordan and Steve, 40 days ago I started the Specific Carbohydrate Diet using your book and at first I felt amazing! I finally had my first formed stool in years, but since the first week or so I’m still getting horrible stomach pain and bloating after meals and I still have loose stools 3-4 times a day. The diet doesn’t seem to be working anymore. I’m only eating beef, pureed carrots, chicken soup, applesauce, and winter squash. I’m going insane eating like this! Can you help?”

Can you relate to this email?

Do you feel like the diet isn’t working for you anymore?

Are you frustrated because you’re only eating a few foods and still not feeling better?

Do you feel “stuck” and ready to give up?

If so, there are 3 primary troubleshooting tips in this video that could help you get “unstuck” and feeling like the diet is working again.

So, watch this video and decide which of the three troubleshooting tips you should try this week. If the first one doesn’t work, that’s OK. Keep testing and tweaking. Troubleshooting works, but it can take a few tries before you get some relief.

In good health,

– Jordan

I like the videos…just because I can read doesn’t mean I would rather read everything. Keep the videos coming.

Thank you so much for this! Just to clarify as I was not aware…. when pulling out dairy we should also remove ghee?

Hi Jordan,
I’m in step 3, diagnosing and treating parasites and bacterial infections. In addition I tested positive for reactivated Epstein Barr virus. Perhaps that is what first compromised my immunity to allow in the other infections. In any case I am on the road to health and SCD Lifestyle was a big help in the early days of diet and the 4 horsemen.
Happy New Year!

Hi Jordan,
Fantastic video! Thank you so much. One quick question for you – I’ve been on the diet, but honestly through the holiday, I didn’t stick to it 100%; I’d say about 90%. I’m going to now try eliminating the 4 horsemen. My question is do you think I should restart by doing the Intro. Diet, and then for how long should I be 100% strict with the diet including eliminating the 4 horsemen before reintroducing them one at a time?
Thank you so much!
