Natural Cold and Flu Management Tips with Dr. Tim Gerstmar (Podcast 72)

by Steven Wright

Natural Cold and Flu Remedies

Natural cold and flu remedies can be miraculous or feel like an utter waste of time and money. And when you’re getting sick who wants to gamble on getting better? The problem with natural products is every doctor or researcher has their own opinion on what products work and how much you should take.

I know I hate being sick and will personally spend lots of money when I’m in pain to try to feel better. And let me tell you, over the years, I’ve spend A LOT of money. Sometimes it worked and many times it didn’t. I actually got sick last year and made a video about my protocol that worked really well (watch it here).

With that said, whenever I get an opportunity to pick an expert’s brain about cold and flu management I jump at the chance. Dr. Tim Gerstmar practices at Aspire Natural Health Clinic in Redmond, Washington and on our last chat we talked about the importance of detoxification for great health.

He joins me again to talk about getting sick, getting well and preventing sickness in the first place.

On This Podcast We Discuss:

3:48 Is it good for you to get sick? (And if you don’t watch out)
9:11 What’s the difference between the cold and flu?
16:47 The #1 thing you can do to not get sick
24:30 Can immune stimulating herbs hurt those with autoimmune problems?
30:31 Herbs to take to support your immune system during the flu season
34:11 Should you be afraid of vitamin A supplementation?
39:04 What to do at the first sign of getting sick…
45:17 The keys to successful natural cold and flu treatment

I hope this can help you and your family this year as we look to stay healthy and have fun.

Let me know what your natural cold and flu protocol is in the comments below.

Special thanks to Dr. Tim for his time.

I do sooo much better with reading.
I just can’t sit and listen…. sorry.
I really want to learn this stuff, but I’m old with no patience for chit chat, etc.
