Special Presentation: “The Gut-Brain-Hormone Axis: Unlocking Stomach Problems”

by Jordan Reasoner

Root of problems

If you want to skip ahead, we gave a presentation on new strategies to unravel your stomach problems. Click here.

Did you know that over 55 million Americans deal with debilitating stomach problems every year?

Things like:

  • cramping
  • constipation
  • diarrhea
  • bloating
  • gas

…with very little relief available to them from traditional medicine?

If you’ve been in and out of the doctor’s office treating symptoms but never getting to the root cause, you know how frustrating this is.

Most practitioners don’t like to hear this, but trying to fix stomach problems by focusing only on the digestive system won’t get you very far.

So why do we do it? Why do we continue to focus 100% on the stomach?

Because that’s where the pain is. Like it or not, it’s logical.

But the symptoms create a logical trap. The complexity of our bodies necessitates the need to focus elsewhere. But the pain keeps drawing us back to the GI tract and trapping our thoughts and energies there. And so as patients and practitioners we forget about the other interconnected body systems that affect the GI system.

This Isn’t Just About the Stomach Problems

The stomach problems might cause the sharpest pain, but let’s be honest… everyone who has stomach problems also has other nagging issues – the kind that are hard to admit for fear of sounding weak. Things like:

  • Low energy
  • Low libido
  • PMS problems
  • Depression or Anxiety
  • Skin issues

These five issues are silently stealing the quality of life for people everywhere. But the pain they cause isn’t as urgent as running to the toilet or using a laxative just to go. So we forget about them.

The amazing thing is that these problems are directly related to the GI problems. And if you are going to get to the root cause of the GI issues once and for all these issues will need to be resolved too.

The best part is… you can work on all of them at the same time.

What about people OS? I’m in Australia – unfortunately I can’t make it to a presentation :0( Decent information and new research is so important to share as even the professionals don’t know or give you the whole story! And we’re all looking for answers.

I hope you can put the presentation up on your website sometime soon :0)

Thanks,
Natalie
