Very interesting about the chapped lips- they can be a sign of internal inflammation.

Thanks for this! I am 2 weeks in and feel like I have had a horrible backslide in my symptoms :*(. I started with just the soup and some beef. Then I added a little honey, waited 4 days, added goat yogurt, waited a couple of days, then recieved the scd legal vitamins and digestive enzymes. At this point I was feeling better, so I added the vitamins without waiting the full 4 days. Then I tried pureed squash, and two days later, my symptoms were WORSE than before starting the intro diet!! So, I cut out everything, back to the intro diet + the vitamins and such, but this is day two and still the horrible D. So now I am hoping it is a repeat die off, like you had, maybe from the honey? When I get better, I will hold off a month or so before having the yogurt again. Thanks again guys!

were either of you ever able to add dairy back in after significant healing had taken place?

Hi guys, I purchased your SCD ebook awhile back and have now finally started the SCD diet, I am on day 4. I did the intro diet for 3 days and am on day 1 of phase 1. I have a couple of specific questions. First my stools went from formed to somewhat loose, wondering why? I thought perhaps it was the scd cheesecake? Normally I eat small amounts of dairy, no milk, only raw cheese or grass fed butter. Next, I have some form of IBS, never formally diagnosed, but have had issues for nearly 5 yrs. I’ve had tons of tests, mostly from Naturopaths, I am under weight and have some malabsorption issues, I don’t have chrons or UC, but possibly SIBO or celiac?? My question is what is your recommendation about when I can introduce a bit of raw cheese? Also is it okay for someone with my symptoms to introduce more than one food at a time, if I know that they are safe for me? Thanks so much : )
